PL Diamond Hill
Dressage & Eventing · Irish Draught Sire
Signature homebred of Playland's Irish Draught program — versatile, correct, and built for sport.
Glenda Player grew up at Playland Equestrian Center, earned her Pony Club B-Rating through the Frederick Pony Club, and has spent her career going deeper — not just riding, but understanding why horses and riders move the way they do.
She has trained with world-renowned equine biomechanics expert Hillary Clayton, completed a 500-hour course at the Mind Body Studies Academy earning her C.O.R.E. Rider certification, and has taught across the United States and abroad. Her expertise spans dressage, eventing, and show jumping — with a special affection for starting young horses and bringing along homebred Irish Draughts.
"I want riders to understand their body, feel their horse, and build a partnership that goes beyond the test — or the cross-country flags."

Rider biomechanics are not an afterthought — they are the first question. C.O.R.E. principles mean we look at how you sit before we ask your horse to move.
Flatwork, lateral work, gymnastic grids, and course work in purposeful rotation. Progress is never forced — rhythm and relaxation come first, every ride.
We prepare horse and rider to be ready — genuinely ready — before each show or event. Confidence in the ring is built in the arena, week by week.
Year-round riding through Maryland weather, fully lit.
Full course of show-quality fences, all-weather footing.
Separate arena for flat work and pre-course preparation.
Starting, lunging, and liberty work in a safe, enclosed space.
On-property XC fences — banks, water, ditches, combinations.
Generous paddocks and pastures — horses out daily.
Miles of hacking on property — conditioning beyond the arena.
Required for horses in training — individual stalls, bedded deeply.
Glenda lives and manages on property — 7 days a week oversight.
